SALON PRIVE CLASSIC AND SPORTS CAR PHOTOGRAPHY

01/09/2017
Salon Prive classic and super car weekend takes place at the historic Blenheim Palace this weekend,31st August to 3rd September, Thursday was the Concours d'Elegance and with the show in its twelth year all of the rarest and most beautiful cars ever made were on display. The stunning backdrop enhanced the cars even more and made the car photography an absolute pleasure, with lobster and champagne flowing every one who attended had a great time, the weather held up for most of the day with the occasional shower here and there.

The classic and sports car photography came with its challenges among a mix of sunshine and showers, the first year I can remember the opening day not being bathed in sun all day. Once the rain had stopped though we went back to blue skies and umbrellas retired to the footwells of the cars on show. The coverage is always full of activities going on, from judging which has industry experts, these also included Le Mans legend Derek Bell and model Yasmin Le Bon who is a classic car enthusiast. After lunch the cars then get their awards for best in show, this is then followed with a parade lap around the grounds of the beautiful Blenheim Palace. Among some of the finest super cars on display were some of the most iconic classics ver, Ferrari GTO's Lamborghini Miuras, Ford GT40's and Aston Martins. The show takes place over 4 days, Friday sees ladies day, Saturday and Sunday then celebrate 70 years of Ferrari and then culminates in super car Sunday.
