MANOR BARN COMMERCIAL PHOTOGRAPHY KENT

16/01/2017
The Manor Farm Barn in Southfleet has reopened after a month-long £350,000 refurbishment. The restored 18th century barn, winner of the CAMRA Pub Design Award in 2002, has been repainted throughout, and has new lighting, furniture and décor designed to enhance its exposed oak timbers and vaulted ceiling. Outside, the pub’s thatched roof has been restored and treated, and the exterior repainted with new sign writing, and a new swing sign installed. The pub’s kitchen has been refurbished and refitted with new equipment including a pizza oven, in order to accommodate the new, expanded food menu.

The commercial photography covered the interior, exterior and photographs of customers and staff enjoying the newly refurbished bar and restaurant. The refurb has been sympathetic to the origins of the barn and has plenty of snug areas and seating which creates a welcoming environment for friends and family to enjoy a drink or meal. The shoot lasted from mid morning through to early evening, this allowed me to capture a mix of different customers as well as some daytime and evening photos of the barn. I used a variety of lenses, including the 50mm 1.4 prime, 20mm wide angle prime and 14-24mm wide zoom for the interior photos.
