FASHION PHOTOGRAPHY COURSE AT BROOKLANDS MUSEUM WEYBRIDGE

14/07/2013
Models Natalie and Abbie had been on a styled bike shoot earlier in the year, it was also the first time that I had worked with Esmari and Sarah from Premier Brides who cover hair styling and make up, so it seemed the ideal choice to use the same team for todays course. I was also lucky enough to have the brand new Jaguar F Type very kindly loaned by Barretts Jaguar who are based in Canterbury and Ashford, it also helped that it was a Jaguar drivers day at the museum.

We themed the first set of photographs around the F Type and the banking, although Brooklands has some amazing backdrops it was the less known areas that were used initially, air raid shelters were a good test in terms of ISO control and composition. The bright red of the F Type worked well with both models and with the strong sunshine posed challenges in balancing the light, this was where the reflector came in to its own giving each photographer complete control over directing the right light on to the models. In the afternoon we concentrated on off camera and on camera fill in flash, this produced some great photos and you could see that everybody was now concentrating on their composition as well.

Their will be more courses throughout the year covering the basics of digital photography along with car and fashion photography courses, please contact me for further details. One to one photography tuition is also available in Kent, London and Surrey.
