IFS GRADUATION PHOTOGRAPHY GUILDHALL LONDON

12/07/2013
The photography brief is as always to document the day, covering the story of the students arrival early morning through to the ceremony and then the celebrations afterwards. The images will be used for the Institute of Financial Services website, press releases and also for next years brochure. The emphasis is always to capture the blue, white and red sashes which are the IFS' colours, along with portraits of the students.

I used a mix of lenses today, the 50mm 1.2 is ideal for documentary photography, discreet and with its 50mm focal length provides a story in one shot, the 70-200mm covered the rest of the day, its speed and focal length capturing some candids and also detail shots. After the ceremony I switched over to the 24-70mm 2.8, with the sun beaming outside i managed to get some nice group photos against the Guildhall along with some group photos for Barclays, Lloyds and HSBC.
