BLOG 2021

Sunday and the first Digital photography workshop I have had the chance to hold this year, a small group of photographers from novices to more seasoned hobbyists came along for the camera course in Canterbury where they would learn new skills and have a refresh over the basics of using a camera and working with a model..
The course went through all of the controls of the attendees digital SLR cameras, most had been using the auto controls so had not used any manual controls at all. Running through each control in detail and then covering a practical session afterwards highlighted the benefits of delving in to the aperture, shutter speed and ISO controls. We also looked at examples of my photography work that covered subjects that each attendee liked to photograph and ended up the day with model Elika posing in various settings around the Innovation centre, using light and backgrounds to make the most of composition and using various aperture settings on the cameras.

For more training courses please take a look at the training section of my website, I am running exclusive car photography courses at Goodwood and Thruxton motor circuits this year as well. I will also be publishing more digital SLR beginners workshops soon, alongside this one to one training is available as well.
