REMEMBRANCE SUNDAY

09/11/2020
Thruxton Circuit hosted charity Mission Motorsport's Remembrance Sunday service, fortunately it was allowed to go ahead with safety measures and track and trace procedures, I covered the ceremony and it was a real honour to be part of a very different service...
At 10:45 on Sunday 9th November, Mission Motorsport held a very special pit lane service streamed live from Thruxton Service. This unique and innovative Drive-In service including a padre, wives choir, piper, bugler and wreath laying ceremony was performed to an audience of owners who had driven in their cars, of all shapes and sizes, including 911's, TVR's, Ariel Atom and a very familiar Mustang!

James Cameron CEO and founder of Mission Motorsprot added “We‘ve been working closely with local authorities to ensure that the service is compliant with government guidelines, socially distanced and Covid safe. I am hugely proud of the team for all their hard work and extremely grateful to all those that are donating their time and efforts to make this possible.

“Remembrance is hugely important not only to the military community but the whole Country. We must and will commemorate and remember those who made the ultimate sacrifice.”
