HEVER CASTLE CAR SHOW

05/08/2020
After a busy week of covering a wide variety of car photography in Kent, Epsom and Northamptonshire I had a day off and spent it with the London and Kent Mustang owners in the idyllic backdrop of Hever Castle, this was there annual car show which had a display from a mix of other car clubs...
The original medieval defensive castle with its gatehouse and walled bailey was built in 1270. In the 15th and 16th centuries the Bolyens added the Tudor dwelling within the walls. The Castle was then owned by a number of families before William Waldorf Astor invested time, money and imagination in restoring the Castle, building the ’Tudor Village’ and creating the gardens and lake. It made for a very impressive backdrop with car clubs featuring Lamborghini's. Mini's, Mustangs and a variety of classic car clubs.

Weather was perfect and the location was a complete contrast to Santa Pod on Friday, really nice just to catch up with other owners and take some leisurely snaps on a Sunday during Summer time, the atmosphere was relaxed and for a lot of people it was the first time they had attended a car show, or for that matter ant event since lockdown restrictions had been lifted. Lets hope that next year this event will be even bigger in terms of numbers.
