FORD FOCUS RS HERITAGE CAR PHOTOGRAPHY

21/01/2019
When Ford introduced the RS Heritage edition they made some tweaks to what was already one of the top hot hatches ever produced, to justify the substantial £7k increase over the standard car, Ford has looked to official partners Mountune, who upgraded the Heritage Edition with its M375 power kit. The gains of 25bhp and 29lb ft of torque come courtesy of a high-flow induction kit and an uprated- and- recalibrated turbo recirculation valve. Total power and torque are 370bhp and 376lb ft respectively.

Just as the third-gen Focus RS arrived with a bright colour (Nitrous Blue) it will sign off with one too. Unique to the special edition car is the Tief Orange finish which is also a tribute to the Ford Escort which turns 50 this year. Elsewhere, a black finish for the wing mirrors and rear spoiler to help to breakup the dominant orange hue, while the forged wheels which house grey brake callipers continue the contrasting black theme.

The photography took place in North Kent and the images are for Haynes Ford as i'm sure this car will be in the collection for a long time, the limited number of 50 makes this a very desirable car with dealers and owners advertising them for up to £70,000 at time of writing! For the photography I used the Profoto B1 and A1 to supplement the ever changing light conditions, this Ornage in overcast light can look very flat so the addition of the location lighting was important to make the car stand out against the urban backdrop.
