BLOG 2018

Canterbury College has been my base for the last three days, covering the new branding and a wide variety of the courses that they have on offer to students. Some Autumn sunshine also provided a nice backdrops for the photos in the campus and off site as well...
Canterbury College is one of the largest in the South East, with more than 5,000 students and hundreds of qualifications. The college is based in the student-friendly city of Canterbury and has just recently partnered with East Kent College. Their courses combine professional-standard facilities, industry specialist tutors and outstanding student support.

The brief for the education photography was to capture the students in natural settings and showing a variety of age groups and also left around the College. I lost track of the number of subjects that were photographed, these included Animal care, Art, Design, Dance, Music, Engineering and more then I can mention. The lighting used over the three days photography was a mix of natural light, reflected light and the addition of the portable hand held Profoto A1 off camera, this worked perfectly for the outside shots where the students were either in shade or backlit by the Sun. The images will be used immediately for the new website which will be live from next week along with web and print advertising.
