FASHION PHOTOGRAPHY IN LONDON

13/04/2017
Photographing fashion is always good fun, all you need is a variety of backdrops and Brick Lane and the surrounding areas gave a real mixture of themes to the model photography shoot. I met up with fellow professional photographer Lucy Williams, between us we used the graffiti art, coffee shops and the Rebel Alliance custom bike shop, they were very accommodating and when one of their customers turned up in a custom Volkswagen Beetle that added more scope for the photographs.

In terms of kit I kept it really simple, a small lastolite tri-grip reflector, Nikon D810 full frame camera and the superb Sigma 50mm 1.4 Art lens. The limitations of the fixed focal length does make you work a lot harder and with the light changing I used a variety of apertures, generally F2 and F4 were my prime settings. I will be looking to cover some mini fashion photography workshops in London soon, if you are interested please get in touch.
