BLOG 2017

Corporate portraiture covers so many areas, in this day and age profiles on social media, press releases and also website pages. EC3 Legal had commissioned me to cover a series of portraits of their team at their offices in Leadenhall Street London, right in the centre of the capitals financial district...
EC3\Legal was started at the end of 2012 as a new firm of solicitors with the sole aim to fill the gap in legal and other support services provided to SME intermediated businesses. Since then EC3\Legal have become the firm of choice for over 150 clients in the Lloyd’s of London, MGA, insurance and broker markets. The company was after a variety of portraits of their solicitors and staff showing a friendlier side to each person, the brief was also to use lighting alongside natural light.

I had two lighting set ups, one against a turquoise backdrop that was lit with the Profoto B2 location flash, with a compact Manfroto lighting stand everything is housed in a small camera bag, perfect for moving freely around London. The honeycomb grid light shaping tool also allowed for slight adjustments to bring some ambient light in as well.

The second set of images were against a more traditional white background, this was just lit by a skylight and lastolite too grip reflector, this time using a 50mm lens, the Profoto set up was with an 85mm (both Sigma art lenses). The photographs will be used by the EC3 Legal marketing team on their newly developed website which is due to go live soon and across social media and printed material.
