CHRIST CHURCH UNIVERSITY GRADUATION PHOTOGRAPHY

Canterbury Christ Church graduation photography
The photography today was to capture a story of the day so that the images can be used for press, web and also next years graduation programme. With a bright day and a gentle breeze in the air it was an ideal day, with families in tow as well it also provided a good opportunity to capture some of the students with their friends and relations. Three years ago I started lecturing at CCCU on their photography degree course, today they were graduating which was a great sight to see. Emma and Tony are pictured in the photo montage, hopefully they will all go on to use their degree to good effect.

Once the ceremony started I placed my slef to the right of where the archbishop was, this then gave me the chance to take photos of a selection of students head on collecting their degrees. The light is always warm and bright in the Cathedral so camera was in manual mode, sometimes under exposing which made the photos full of contrast and kept the skin tones natural rather then too bright. With the ceremony finishing at 4pm the photography was done for the day.
