BYWAYS photography for MCCH charity in Hampshire
After a trouble free journey along the M25 and M23 I arrived at the Byways site, it has been finished to a high standard in terms of the houses and landscaping, with the sun starting to appear through the clouds and some bright skies it was a good time to cover some exterior photographs of the development. Guests started to arrive at 1pm and the brief was to capture them talking and viewing the interiors of the rooms. Their were also a couple of residents who needed some photos taken in their new homes, these will be used for the website and future marketing material. Once the speeches were over it was time for the ribbon cutting which was done by Elizabeth Fountain whose mother Elsie founded the original home in 1958, Lord Tenbey was also their to help.
The weather was ideal today and a mix of lenses were used, the 17-40mm for the exteriors, 50mm and 135mm for the people photos inside. I also had to cover some informal portraits as well, for these I used the 24-70mm @ 2.8 against a plain background. Left at 3pm and arrived back to Canterbury before 5pm, again a hassle free journey home.
