Conference and event photography for Covidien
The next few days were going to be full in in terms of covering conferences, award ceremonies, gala dinner, team building workshops and off site events which would include clay pigeon shooting and quad biking. Their was also a requirement to capture some corporate head shots of all of the 100 staff that would be attending the event. With so much going on two cameras were on standby at all times, coupled with the 135 and 50mm lenses to cover every eventuality. The event was all about rewarding the sales staff and also a chance for groups to work together in a variety of environments. With the majority of the photography being documentary and covering a snapshot of the events at the hotel it was relaxed all round, the weather held out as well which made for a typical autumn sunny but cold climate. One of the highlights of the three days was a motivational speech by Olympic GB and Gold commonwelath triple jumper Larry Achike, his story and determination to succeed were an inspiration to everybody present in the room.
Tghe gala dinner saw all of the staff in their dresses and tuxedos for a lavish dinner and awards ceremony, the evening ended with a disco and Take That 2, a tribute band to the biggest pop band around at the moment, although they were upstaged by one of the Covidien team who done an amazing performance of Lulu during "Relight my Fire", the band even asked if she wanted to tour with them! After finishing off on the Thursday morning at the hotel we set off to an off site venue to cover the quad bike and clay pigeon shooting. Once finished my self and Guy then headed back to Canterbury, after a few exhausting but fun days it was now time to go through the edits of all of the images.
