BROOKLANDS NEW YEARS DAY
01/01/2011

New Years Day celebrations at Brooklands
I arrived at the historic car venue at 10.30am, the weather was a mixture of mist, rain and literally a few minutes of sun. Brooklands were after a mix of car photographs and people enjoying the event, their was certainly a good turn out for the event despite the conditions. Their was an eclectic mix of classic and modern cars and bikes on display, with such a large amount of vehicles and people at the event it was difficult to isolate individual cars, the majority of the car photography at Brooklands were taken with the 1D partnered with the 135mm lens, absolutely ideal for distance shots and also isolating parts of the cars on display. I finished up around 2pm and after a coffee and burger had a quick view of the photos, a nice mix which Brooklands will use for their website and publicity purposes.
As you may be aware I hold car photography workshops exclusively at Brooklands, the course on February 27th is now sold out. The next date will be on Sunday 13th March, course fee is £120 with a donation going to the Brooklands charity. Please contact me for further details.
