HAPPY NEW YEAR

Photography from 2010 across the globe
The start of the year saw a blanket of snow hit the county, sound familiar? Two lone snowmen on top of a postbox in Canterbury made it on the BBC weather which I sent sent in and it also turned out to be their top weather shot of 2010, still waiting for the royalties and award...The majority of the year was focused on my existing clients which covered mainly corporate, education, press and seminars across the UK with a lot of photography work in London, even managed to catch some images from the first student riots, sorry protests in November when I had a job in the House of Commons. The photography commission of the year had to be the Full Monte super car trip down to Monte Carlo in September, this ran through France, Switzerland, Italy and Monaco, an amazing experience full of glorious scenery and super cars, having a beer with Paul and Andreas in Casino Square on a Saturday morning watching Ferrari 458's, Mercedes SLS's and Lamborghini's was something I will never forget.
Had some great coverage in a range of publications including Digital Photographer magazine where one of their readers came along for a tutorial with me at the Bredgar and Wormshill light railway station where we had a Morgan Sport and a Jaguar XF to photograph, great feature and fantastic publicity. As mentioned previously Carzpix.com really took a leap forward with coverage of a variety of car shows, motor sport and private commissions, most significantly though was the relationship with Brooklands car museum where I held my first car photography workshop at the end of October, the next one in February is now sold out and further dates will be posted on the website under the training section very soon. I also held a series of Digital SLR photography courses in Brighton, Canterbury and London which I am looking to repeat this year. I also managed to get some holiday time and spent a great weekend down at Le Mans on a track day with some god petrol head friends, Slovenia for a week in July which was just amazing and Paris and New York towards the end of the year, NYC is just superb and can't wait to go back.
As mentioned in a previous post I think this year is going to be a tough one, I usually think this every year but the mood seems to have changed. My main focus this year will be on the car photography as Carzpix is growing well and the photography courses across Kent and the South East, with some dedicated one to one photography training sessions already booked in and the Brooklands courses gaining a lot of interest from all quarters it will help to promote all of the photography services I cover.
If you have been a follower on this blog then thank you for taking the time to read it, really appreciated, best wishes for the New Year.
