LOTUS CORTINA RACE CAR

Another Ford to photograph this week, this time a Lotus Cortina with racing pedigree. Soon to appear on Car and Classic auctions and heaps of history surrounding this iconic classic car...
This particular Lotus Cortina was used as the vehicle for Hornby models to produce a model for the iconic Scalextric game, with an authenticated document from the company themselves it adds real providence to what was already a winning car on track. I have fond memories of Cortina's as growing up it was my parents first car that I remember, I also got the chance to drive one of these around the legendary Goodwood motor circuit during one of there classic track days a few years ago.
