CAR PHOTOGRAPHY WORKSHOP

01/12/2019
Ferrari specialists Barkaways in Paddock Wood, Kent was our base for the one to one photography workshop. I’ve known ian and the team for a number of years and with there stunning collection of cars knew this would be a relaxed environment to cover the training with Adam.

Alongside a Ferrari F1 355, Fiat Abarth 500, Ferrari 308 and my Mustang we had the bonus of a very special rally car, none other than Colin Mcreae’s Metro 6R4 which the team at Barkaway’s are working on over the winter for the owner. It’s a very special feeling being able to photograph such an iconic car, co-driver Nicky Grist has even signed the car as well.

The training covered composition, details of each car, and also using one, two and three lights to add some subtle but effective detail to the cars. We ended up with some interior photos, using the light as a key source and also to backlight the subjects. A big thank you to Barkaway’s for there hospitality, if you are interested in car photography training then take a look at my training page where courses are being held at Goodwod racing circuit next year, also one to one workshops are available and bespoke to your requirements.
