BLOG 2018

Today I have been continuing the series of staff and academic portraits for the University of Kent, this time for the Law department...
Portraits depend on light, good clean natural light and I had three options available today, my main location was one of the wings of the new Law building at the Canterbury campus, a long corridor gave depth to the images and window light combined with the Profoto B2 gave a mix of natural and ambient light. As well as the typical portrait format I had been asked to cover some in landscape as well, these would fit in with the new University website and could also be used for editorial use.

I used the 24-70mm lens today, ordinarily I would use the 85mm prime or 70-200mm, the shorter zoom juts gave a little more flexibility and more freedom to shoot wider if needed.
