BROOK LANDS MUSEUM NEW YEARS DAY CAR EVENT

01/01/2018
New Years Day at Brooklands Museum is always a great way to kick off the start of the year with plenty of cars from classics to supercars on display. I have been covering this event for eight years now and it just gets busier each time, the weather was forecast to be very wet but it held off apart from the odd light shower seen the event. The photography is to be used to promote the event in future and also to send out to various press outlets in the motoring press, I covered as many diverse cars as possible along with the usual iconic British cars, E Types, MGs and some American muscle cars and the ever popular VW contingent in Beetles, Golfs and camper vans.

The day is a chance also to catch up with friends and fellow petrol heads, I am pretty sure you won't find a more diverse display of cars on one site for the rest of the year. I usually take a wide angle and 70-200mm telephoto zoom, decided this year to stick to the 85mm Sigma Art lens, perfect for getting some tighter images and also showing the crowds of people looking around the museum, last year there were over 5000 visitors, have a feeling that might have been exceeded this year.

Their were a lot of photographers about and it was good to meet up with a few who had attended my car photography courses last year, more details can be found on these exclusive courses at Brooklands under my training pages. The next course takes place on Sunday 18th March which is a fashion course, gift vouchers are also available for the photography courses. Please contact me for further details.
