BLOG 2017

Almost four years have flown by since I first started covering the photography for paralympian Millie Knight, during her career she has gone from strength to strength and my photos of her have graced the cover of the Times along with other national newspapers and magazines...
Millie was a Gold medalist as an overall downhill skier in the World Cup Crystal Globe for 2016/17, she has won numerous other accolades since then and is now in training for the Pyeongchang Paralympic Winter Games which take place in 2018.

Each year we meet up to cover a new set of portraits of Millie which can be used through her media agency Holmlands, today we used the sports fitness facilities at the University of Kent where Millie trains and the backdrop of the new Maths/Business school that is also on campus. Lighting was used with the pair of Profoto location B1 and B2's, creating more atmospheric feel to the photos. The backdoor of the newly opened building at the University also reminded me of some futuristic hotels set in the ski resorts, making for a more International feel where before we have used Canterbury icons to show to the media.
