CLASSICS ON THE GREEN CAR PHOTOGRAPHY

01/08/2017
Over the years the classic car show in Bearsted village has grown in terms of the cars and also the British themes, cream teas, 1940s dancing, retro memorabilia and a variety of other stalls really make the village green setting come to life. With the backdrops of the pubs either side of the cricket green and the church in the backdrop set against a backdrop of trees it really is the perfect setting to bring the family along to enjoy some of the best examples of classics you will see anywhere in the UK.

I arrived at the green early, it's always nice to meet up with organiser Philip Hill to catch up and also to capture the arrivals as they drive through the village and park up in their designated spots. Among the highlights were a 1928 Bentley blower, a parade of Jaguar E Types and local Ford dealer Haynes who had brought long the new Mustang, it looked great to see that alongside some of the originals that always turn out every year. For me it's not just about photographing the cars but capturing the atmosphere, the day finished at 4pm with people still in attendance enjoying the stalls and chatting to the car owners.
