CORPORATE PORTRAITS CANTERBURY KENT
24/12/2011

Christine's portraits at the Canterbury Innovation Centre
Like most people Christine had mentioned that she was not very photogenic so rather then just rushing in to taking the photos we sat down and talked about her business and Christmas plans, if you take an interest in your subject then this makes for more relaxed and informal photos. I used the 50mm lens for all of the images and wanted to give some space around Christine, these images always work well for editorials in magazines as the negative space can be used for text and other images to be overlaid on to. I used the natural light which with the building is easy as their is so much space inside and light created by the large floor to ceiling windows.
After I had done the portrait shoot I saw Stephen and Rachel Sharpe whose wedding I had covered two weeks ago, they visited the office and viewed the images from the day, they were over the moon with the photos and had them in time for Christmas. Now off home for a few days rest.
