JDP 2012 Calendar
Amazingly I only used two car photos in the final layouts, the photographs included were from the Full Monte super car trip, New York, St Pancras Hotel (although this was last year!), St Paul's Cathedral, Geneva private jet show (EBACE) and a selection of other commercial work. Many thanks to Danny from Printing.com in Ashford for doing such a great job with the print quality.

Just a quick run through of each of the images, January is a girl from the Drumchasers promo shoot that I covered before they set off on their UK tour, natural light with some dramatic lighting set up to balance the look in to the camera. February seemed an ideal time for a romantic image to coincide with Valentines day. Taken a few days before the royal wedding in Trafalgar Square, I was actually looking to take a picture of a mime artist and saw the couple out of the corner of my eye, black and white treatment worked well on this occasion. March and a striking image from St Pancras hotel, this was taken in 2010 but still one of my favourite interior shots. April and a classic shot of Morris owner Chris Nicholl's on the old racetrack, cigarette in mouth as well, completely unposed and taken with the 70-200mm lens at full zoom. May shows model Kelly leaving a private jet at the EBACE air show in Geneva, photos were taken for International Jet Charter. Will be back again next year for them in Geneva as well. The chef shot for JUne was taken at the Sun Inn for Shepherd Neame during a tasting evening that the restaurant had laid on for guests, 17mm end of the 17-40mm lens, natural light with some over exposure to balance the mix of artificial lighting.

July and St Paul's Cathedral from the Millenium Bridge, cliched image but with the warmth of the winter sun on the building and deep shadows ion the foreground it all worked together really well. August and the view from my hotel room at the Monte Carlo Bay hotel during the 2011 Full Monte super car trip, tempting to add a car image in their but went with the cool hues of the Mediterranean Sea. September and a friendly face taken during a landscape shoot of the lighthouse in Sea Palling, Norfolk. The twio images for October and November were from our holiday in New York, the yellow cab is such an iconic symbol of NY and with the camera set on the pavement it gave a more dramatic image, offset against the colourful neons in the background. Central Park was the next shot and with the beautiful autumn colours on display in early November provides a tranquil image. Last of all a shot of Rudolph at a reindeer centre in Ashford, only taken a few weeks ago but very apt for the festive season.
