WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY AT THE JACKDAW INN DENTON KENT

17/08/2013
The Jackdaw was the perfect setting for Amy and Tom's wedding as they were after an informal ceremony and with over one hundred guests in the pubs rear garden sitting among the benches and lawn it gave a great scope for todays wedding photography. Tom and his ushers turned up in the large yellow Dodge pick up truck which took centre place whilst covering the bridal party wedding photos, the only concern today was the weather due to some expected rain around midday, fortunately the forecasters got it wrong again and during the ceremony it stayed dry although overcast, ideal for the photography.

I used two cameras with the 70-200mm and 17-40mm lenses being used, due to the overcast conditions I didn't use flash as the lighting was neutral and didn't create any problems throughout the time that I was at the ceremony. The shoot finished for me just prior to the couple leaving for their wedding reception in the countryside, the 17-40mm provided some nice wide group photos as all of the guests congregated outside the front of the Jackdaw for the obligatory group photo which looked great using the pubs front garden as a backdrop.
