MEOPHAM SCHOOL EDUCATIONAL PHOTOGRAPHY KENT

26/06/2013
The brief was to cover a range of subjects which covered all areas, these covered general classroom photos, art, photography, dance, sport and even after hours classes which included students on the school's farm which had a selection of animals and reptiles. As usual with the educational photography I always use natural light, the 70-200mm lens with its shallow depth of field at F2.8 is ideal for these scenarios, especially in the crowded environment of a classroom, the top end of the zoom enables you to crop which is ideal for close up candids and some more abstract shots. The weather was overcast which meant the light coming through the classroom windows was soft and diffused, perfect for my style of photography.

The school photographs will be used in the new prospectus and recently updated website, the images will also be used for various marketing and press purposes.
