BROOKLANDS CAR PHOTOGRAPHY COURSE SUNDAY 12th MAY

12/05/2013
The cars present today were an E Type roadster, E Type coupe, 911, two 356 speedsters, a Mustang and an MG Midget, all in a mix of colours which would pose a challenge in the early morning sun as it kept creeping in and out of cloud cover. Their was also a hive of activity at Brooklands museum with a fly by of a Lancaster plane to commemorate the 70th anniversary of the Dambusters, the UK TVR owners club and a swedish Morgan owners club present. This posed challenges in itself as the test for the photographers was to take photographs of the cars without any distractions, shooting low down and cropping in tight on the cars solved the background and also provided some dynamic shots, especially of the E Types.

After taking a selection of all of the cars on the Brooklands banking, a good place to run through angles, composition and fra ing we then descended in to the airfield, this is a great place to use the mix of aircraft as a backdrop and also to run through some on and off camera flash techniques. Using the E Types against Concorde couldn't have made a better pairing and with some strong cloud formations and rich blue skies provided a great end to another course at Brooklands.

Keep an eye out for future courses on the blog and training pages.
