SAMSUNG GALAXY TAB 2 WORK TABLET

07/05/2013
The tablet plays a big part in my work as it is compact enough to fit in to the camera bag and allows me to carry out work on the train or in my habitual abode of the High Street coffee shop. The ipad had been a great asset but as it is now three years old Apple have ignored it in terms of updates and the processor was lagging behind in terms of speed, having the Samsung Galaxy S3 after three iphones I looked in to the Samsung equivalent of the iPad, with a price tag of £250 (£150 cheaper then the Apple equivalent) I opted to save some money. With a 10.1" screen, 1GHZ processor, internal storage of 16GB and a two year guarantee it seemed the ideal choice. Screen quality is far better then the original iPad and its processor works speedily to process web content and any uploading, an important issue for me as the ipad does not allow me to upload images via my website, plus I can now view flash websites.

Any negatives? The Ipad retina does have a sharper display although the colours do appear punchier on the Samsung, plus for £16 I purchased a 16GB micro SD card and doubled the storage on the tablet, something that you can't do with the Apple product. I still swear by Mac's for my everyday work, but Samsung seem to offer flexibility, quality and value for money in all of their portable products. Also worth a mention is case company theSnugg.co.uk whose Samsung case at £29.99 fits the product perfectly
