CAR PHOTOGRAPHY COURSES AT BROOKLANDS MUSEUM

17/04/2017
Automotive photography has dominated this month, mainly due to the good weather and editorial commissions have made it a busy time in terms of location photography. The number of cars I have photographed has been diverse, todays selection of cars at Brooklands for my car photography course was no different. One of the stand outs today was a stunning Corvette C2 Stingray from 1966, very apt as one features in the new fast and furious film. Talking of films probably one of the most iconic cars to feature in a film franchise is the DeLorean, made famous in the back to the future franchise. Other cars that featured were the new Jaguar Sport 400, a revised addition to the range that now boasts 400 bhp, many thanks to Barretts Jaguar for the loan of the car. The sports car themed continued with a Lotis Evora 400, BMW M4, Morgan Plus 4, and a host of classics, VW Karmen Ghia, Mini Cooper, BMW 535i and two Porsches, a 356 speedster and 944.

On todays course I had five photographers, all from different backgrounds who wanted to take their photography one step further. The main purpose of the course is to teach the photographers about composition, framing and what areas of the cameras manual mode to use for certain situations. The glorious sunshine aided and hindered on some cars, lighting is the most important aspect when photographing cars and some tricks of the trade were handed out during the course of the day. The next car photography courses will take place on Sunday 27th August if you are interested in booking a place or purchasing a gift voucher for a present please do not hesitate to contact me.
