PUB AND RESTAURANT PHOTOGRAPHY IN KENT

21/02/2017
Its new additions include the Oak on the Green and the Fish on the Green in Bearsted, the Old Mill in Kennington, the Chequers on the Green in High Halden and the Swan and Dog in Great Chart. I photographed the pubs on a Friday evening and Sunday lunchtime, these were busy periods for all of the venues and a winters weekend made for a warm and atmospheric atmosphere in the restaurant and bar areas.

As usual with all of the commercial photography I have been covering for Shepherd Neame recently the 20mm Nikon 1.8 was the main lens, I did have the addition of the 14-24mm wide zoom for some of the exterior images, just to capture the venues in their village locations. Lighting as ever was warm and ambient but letting very little natural light in to the camera, by pushing the ISO up and using a shallow depth of field I was able to still introduce the warmth in to the images. These were a quick overview of the five restaurants and pubs in Kent, a full shoot will take place over the next few months.
