WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY IN WHITSTABLE AND HERNE BAY KENT

28/07/2013
The preparation photographs were to take place at Rob and Anne-Marie's home in Whitstable, the usual detail photos of the dress, shoes and a family heirloom which was Anne-Marie's late fathers pocket watch which had been passed down the generations. I took a few photos of the Anne-Marie with her sister who was also chief bridesmaid on the day. Next stop was off to the wedding venue in Herne Bay which was the King's Hall, ideally placed on the seafront with some glorious views.

The couple were after some informal photographs and wanted these to show the enjoyment of the day, I used the 135mm lens which was great for candids as well as portraits of Rob and his best man and brother Shaun. Once the guests started to arrive it was an ideal time to get some candids with the sea resplendent in the background. The ceremony took place in the large hall which had been decorated in blue and white, coincidentally the same as Rob's football team Leicester City! Once the ceremony was completed it was over to the confetti, group and portraits of the happy couple. Anne-Marie's vintage dress was getting caught in the gusts of wind and with some large ventilation units up from the hall we used these as a fun shot, almost like Marilyn Monroe in her famous pose.
