The event celebrated the official Royal opening of Cory Environmental's new Riverside Resource Recovery energy from waste facility, the photographs had to show the facility and activity associated with the opening ceremony. The pictures were to be used for immediate press releases as well as future publicity so a selection of photos had to be sent over to various press and PR companies immediately after the shoot.

I had done a visit to the site a month prior to today, this was to run through the route that HRH The Princess Royal would be taking as well as running through the images that the client was looking for, two rules were laid out, HRH would not pose for photos which is to be expected, and also no back tracking, with this in mind I stayed well ahead of the party and captured some meet and greet photos along with some wider images showing the complex. Two cameras were used with the 24-70mm covering most angles, the 135mm was attached to the other 1D and managed to capture some more off guard moments.
