Their were quite a few similarities with todays car photography course at Brooklands Museum, a great range of cars, a group of budding photographers and the typical british weather, a torrent of rain as I arrived at the venue greeted me, and the soft tones of a jazz band through the audio system. Almost made it feel like an early morning Spring day, just needed the haze of the sun filtering through. As everybody arrived the plan was to work through the rain and hope that it would ease up...

Tonight was a lavish affair at Motorline Lexus in Canterbury, with local band Hullabaloo, artist Graham Clarke and champagne and the introduction of the new Lexus CT200 hybrid hatchback, probably one of the most talked about cars due to the current climate and soaring fuel prices will make this car a more viable proposition then before. Plus a first for a hybrid (excluding the sporty Honda CRZ) great looks and the refinement of a luxury saloon in a 5 door hatch...

After a couple of successful years now with the Canon 1D MK 3 it was a good time to take a look at the recently released MK IV version, improved pixel count of 16 megapixels, ISO performance up to a staggering 102,400 and HD video it looks to be a great partner to the MK 3. Plus they have also improved the 45 point autofocus system where you can even go in to each focusing point to improve the focusing of it, great for smaller detail or objects further away in the viewfinder. The big question though is will it be equal to the larger pixel full frame 5D MK 2...
